What We Do

What We Do

We offer friendship, support and advice to anyone who has an issue or question related to being transgender whether it be for themselves, a family member or a friend.  We also provide a conduit to represent the views and opinions of the local trans community to local groups and organisations whether they be governmental, business, religious or private.

We offer a safe venue for members of our community to meet with others on a regular or ad hoc basis either over a cup of tea and a bun or for a convivial evening over a beer or glass of wine, sometimes we meet for a meal in a local restaurant, Newbury has many such venues we can patronise.  Sometimes we will organise a demonstration, or a talk or an activity, whatever the group decide would be a popular subject.  Started during the recent pandemic we have found that regular meetings in a virtual on-line environment has been a popular way for more far-flung or less-confident members to meet and share experiences and advice and we will be continuing these initially on a twice a month basis going forward.  These events give an opportunity for those who find it difficult or impossible to present themselves to the world in the way they prefer to do so safely.

We are inclusive to all members, families and friends of transgender individuals and welcome them to join the group.  Any member can ask a question about any relevant subject and we do not judge or criticise in any way.  However, anyone who joins or attempts to join under false pretences or demonstrates any form of hate speech to any individual member of the LGBTQIA+ community will be excluded immediately.

If you are transgender or related or friends with anyone that is, please contact us using the link at the top of any page
